Rooted in Research. Proven in Practice.

Developed by educational researchers, Ready4K is a highly accessible, evidence-based family engagement solution that is carefully designed to drive impact at every step along the way.

It starts with our focus on access. More than 95% of families use text message, which makes it the perfect way to deliver evidence-based curricula to birth through 8th grade families each week in 10+ languages.

With Core, Trauma-Informed, and developmental data-driven Personalized Learning family engagement solutions, Ready4K is the only provider with general support, support for families working to overcome the trauma of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and support for children with potential developmental delays.

Next is ease of implementation. The Ready4K Dashboard turns everything from enrollment to reporting into a one-click process. From research-based surveys to on-demand surveying tools and end-of-year impact reports, the dashboard will lighten your reporting load.

Through Family workshops, the Ready4K family communication system, and additional educator supports we make it easy to increase your impact.

And with the strongest evidence base in the field, it’s clear to see why organizations across the country choose Ready4K.

What Parents Are Saying About Ready4K

"They remind me of ways that I can continue to support her growth and development!"

"The tips and activities provided in the messages have been easy to incorporate into our daily routine and have noticeably improved our interactions and has given us the opportunity to make our normal activities more fun."

"Ready4K has helped a lot when she gets upset. Instead of getting upset she is now able to control her feeling by not getting frustrated but rather she will fold clothes or her favorite, matching socks and taking counting and taking 3 deep breaths"

"They have helped me be calmer dealing with him and they have helped me to help him communicate better with others"

"After doing activities together I believe our relationship is stronger. Her communication skills are growing every day and everything I do to encourage them helps!"

"There is an over-saturation of things to read and you can feel inadequate. Getting these texts feel like reassurances."

“[My favorite activity is] listening and talking with my son. Devices tend to get in the way of living in todays era, it's nice to put them away and actually communicate with each other. It's important.”

“The tips on how to handle a stressful situation have been helpful. Tips like yesterday's that end by saying "It happens to ALL parents" remind me that I'm not alone with my feelings, failures and frustrations.”

“I understand more about their thought process and developing mind to look past big emotions. Plus, I find a lot of the activities suggested improve quality time and learning opportunities which help lessen the impact and frequency of big emotions. Thank you”

Not long ago we got a letter from our first graders school teachers saying he would be pulled out of his small group reading intervention because he had surpassed all of his goals. Not only that but we have watched as he has grown and opened up like a little flower. Where once he was so painfully shy he no longer is. He has grown in self confidence and so many other ways. I attribute most of this to the texts you send with ideas and so much more. Even right down to keeping my own sanity when things are hectic and chaotic. I can't say enough about these great texts!

The Only Tier 1 “Strong Evidence-Based” Digital Family Engagement Solution

2 to 3 Months Additional Growth

First studied at Stanford in randomized control trials, the Ready4K approach has been shown to increase student growth by 2 to 3 months over a school year.

Explore the research that makes Ready4K the only digital family engagement program to meet the most rigorous ESSA and Head Start standards.

98% of Families Report Child Growth

Over 150,000 parent survey responses show that Ready4K messages increased the confidence of 94% of parents; strengthened 97% of parent-child relationships; and 98% families say Ready4K helped their child grow.

The Ready4K Approach

Turn complexity into simplicity

We start by writing a complete, standards-aligned parenting curriculum. Then we use research-based strategies to crystallize it into bite-sized steps that inspire action. And messages are written at a third grade level to ensure accessibility.

Sequence carefully

We build new skills on top of known skills to leverage parents strengths and unique relationships with their child. Each week we orient families around a WHAT, a WHY, and a HOW. WHAT skill is their child developing. WHY it is important. HOW they can help build the skill at home.

Leverage parenting strengths

Each message is carefully written to give families an “I can do it!” feeling. We want every parent to feel inspired and totally capable of supporting their child’s learning with each message they receive.

Make access easy

Then we deliver each message using the most equitable and accessible technology: text message. No internet required. And Ready4K is available in 10+ languages with specialized versions for tribal families and other unique populations.

Our Journey to Ready4K Trauma-Informed

It began with a request from a small rural coastal town. They needed a new way to support families facing some of the biggest challenges. Their community was experiencing trauma at a higher rate than the surrounding towns.
